On Wednesday 29/9/2021 council of ministries of Kurdistan region on the suggestion of commission of integrity of Kurdistan region accepted the project of (The national strategy of Anti-Corruption in Kurdistan region-Iraq 2021-2025) which was prepared by commission of integrity, it’s an inclusive plan of the institutions of Kurdistan region for the purpose of governance be more active, more transparent for the service of public interest.
The sectors in this strategy were evaluated on the basis of SWOT analysis which is the abbreviation of strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats, the aims were written down on these bases later on they directly presented the action plan. The data's inside this strategy (The strategy of Anti-Corruption in Kurdistan region 2017-2021) were taken from qualitative data as an image and focus group with different institutions.
This strategy is divided on three sectors:
In first sector official institutions were evaluated which contains Kurdistan region, includes implementation authority from presidency of region and Kurdistan region government. Later on judicial authority and independent institutions which includes board of supreme audit, commission of integrity, commission of human rights and commission of higher election.
Second sector is special for political parties and civil society which includes political parties and civil society and media. Third sector is special for private sector.
The end of the strategy is specialized for an attaché for the mechanism of observation and implementation following up and evaluating the strategy. It's worth stating that this strategy is written for the flowing aims:
First: developing integrity, questioning and transparency in general and private institutions in Kurdistan region.
Second: improving culture and awareness of Anti-Corruption on educational and institutional level.
Third: stabling international standards of transparent and Anti-Corruption governance in legal frame and implementing justice.
Fourth: building a union of Anti-Corruption between different institutions for the purpose of observing the view of institutions and supporting this strategy.
Fifth: fastening the process in questioning and solving corruption cases by activating judicial institutions and preventing unnecessary legal and political impunity.
